THIS PLEASES THE ROBO

The car doesn’t need to improve. There’s no way for Ford to hide they sandbagged in IMSA and WEC until Le Mans qualifying now. Look at the practice times for Watkins Glen. The Fords (and BMWs, finally) have topped the charts. If this race had taken place before Le Mans the Fords would have magically been a second or two slower than the top GTLM car.

The Robo senses salt flowing from the Viggen.

The Viggen is much salt. Much salt towards Ford execs who attempt to rig race finishes to replicate history they didn’t care about a year or two prior and told privateers to fuck off in the past (Matech GTs, Robertson Racing) and likely will do the same with this car. Ford gives the Viggen salt about a car he doesn't want salt about.
